Attack of the Jellyfish Video
While Lion's Mane Jellyfish are quite common, most people have never seen a real one in person. Vancouver'd is about the uncommon experience, so let's talk jellyfish.
The Vancouver Aquarium makes it possible to get face-to-face with a whole bunch of these captivating creatures - and even take pictures and video.
In this article, we'll look at 2 kinds of jellyfish videos you could make.
Capturing the memory with a digital camera or video camera is fun. And unlike taking pictures of fish in low-light aquariums, the jellyfish tank has more lighting, upping the chance of a good picture.
Using a video camera to capture the action is even easier since they adjust to movement in low-light conditions better.
Once you've taken a few minutes of video of the jellyfish, you can make an entertaining travel video when you get home.
Using the home video editing program Adobe Premiere Elements, I came up with this 30 second video montage of the Lion's Mane Jellyfish at the Vancouver Aquarium.
Or, get trippy. Make a psychedelic jellyfish montage.
In your video editor, overlap different jellyfish video clips on separate layers, toying with the transperancy of each clips. Then, try out a few color effects until the perfect psychedelic colors appear. Mess around with the scale of a few clips to enlarge then for added trippiness.
To make the video more lively, add a sound clip, such as a free tune from Archive.org.
The result could be something like this:
While Lion's Mane Jellyfish do not roar like lions, they are an amazing sight to see.
